Divisions

GPID is divided into 5 divisions. Each director serves a 3-year term. Elections are by mail-in ballot and are held on the 2nd Tuesday in November.

Division #1: Ronald Willing, Rogue River, Oregon 
Occupation: Retired computer service and sales support in U.S. & Germany.  I also grow produce for the Food Bank. Finance Committee Chairperson to the Board.   Ronald was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2012 for a three year term. Current terms ends 12/31/2018.

Division Boundaries: All lands within the district boundary within Jackson County, Oregon, and continuing West to the intersection of the south bank of the Rogue River and the Grants Pass Parkway, continuing to the intersection of the Grants Pass Parkway and the west right of way line of Parkdale Drive; thence south to the northerly intersection of Fruitdale Drive; thence easterly to the intersection of Gaffney Way; thence wouth along said West line of Gaffney Way to the intersection of the South line of Thelma Way; thence west to the East line of Skycrest Drive; thence south to the established boundary of the Grants Pass Irrigation District.

Division #2: New appointed by the Board Kenneth Hannum.  Current term ends 12/31/17.

Division Boundaries: All lands within the district boundary from the Josephine-Jackson County line, from the Rogue River north and west to 6th Street.  Also that portion lying south of the Rogue River described as follows: Beginning at the South line of the Rogue River and the West line of the Grants Pass Parkway.  Thence South to the West line of Parkdale Drive.  Continue South along said West line of Parkdale Drive to the South line of the Grants Pass Irrigation Gravity Canal.  Thence South-easterly to the West line of Gaffney Way.  Thence South along the West line of Gaffney Way to the South line of Grandview Avenue.  Thence East along the South line of Grandview Avenue to the West line of Sky Crest Drive.  Thence Sough to the North line of Thelma Way.  Thence along the North line of Thelma Way to the intersection of Gaffney Way.  Thence North to the South line of the Gravity Canal.  Thence North Westerly to the West line of Parkdale Drive, continue North along said West line back to the point of beginning.

Division #3: Randy Hecker. 
Chairperson of the Board
Appointed in January 2014 for one year. Current term ends December 31, 2017.

Division Boundaries: All lands within the district boundary north of the Rogue River from 6th Street, west to the west boundary line of the district.

Division #4: John Groves. Appointed to the Board in December 2017 will finish out term for previous Board Member.  His position on the Board is Vice Chairperson.  Current term ends December 31, 2018.

Division Boundaries: All lands within the district boundary from 6th Street, south of the Rogue River and north of Hwy 199 (Redwood Hwy), west to the district boundary near the Applegate River.

Division #5: Carl Hanhart, Grants Pass, Oregon
Occupation: Retired Mill Worker
on the Board of Directors.  Carol completed 2011 term for previous Board member then Elected to the Board of Directors in November 2012-2015.  Current term ends December 31, 2018.

Division Boundaries: All lands within the district boundaries lying west of the following line and south of Hwy 199: beginning at the intersection of the south bank of the Rogue River and the Grants Pass Parkway; thence southerly to the intersection of the Grants Pass Parkway and the west right of way line of Parkdale Drive; thence south to the northerly intersection of Fruitdale Drive; thence easterly to the intersection of Gaffney Way:  thence south to the intersection of Grandview Avenue; thence west to Skycrest Drive; thence south to the established boundary of the Grants Pass Irrigation District.

Secretary/Manager: Don Miller, Grants Pass, Oregon. 
Don Miller is the current manager. Don was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2014 as Secretary of the Board of Directors and Manager of the District at the time of Dan Shepard’s retirement from the District in December 2013.    Currently, Don irrigates over 5 acres in the Redwood area.

Don has lived in the Grants Pass area most all of his life.  He attended school here and has worked in the area for several years.  As a young man, he worked for the District spraying the canals and cleaning them and then he continued on with his education.  He attended College in Klamath Falls. Oregon.

Don’s working background is extensive with Engineering credentials, surveying, mapping, as well as other useful experience to the District.
